I love South Korea because
Cheap and good food
Get a lot for a good price
Especially SNU cafeteria
Around 6000 Korean won (maximum price there) which is like around $4.60 US dollars
Lunch and dinner available
Cafeteria is also open to public, so often see people of all ages, I remember even seeing kids one time
A lot of convenience
Fast wifi everywhere, even busses and subway have wifi
Fast and cheap delivery for both food and items
Items often delivered next day
Food
Going back and forth (restaurant and back home) eating out can be tedious and slightly time consuming (such as getting ready and having to travel)
The delivery fee is very cheap and adds up similarly to the transportation fare of going to a restaurant and going back home
Transportation
Fast and cheap as well
Around a dollar
Has a lot of aesthetic scenery
Just very different looking from Hawaii
City like
Tall buildings
Common thought I had was that they really make sure no space is wasted
Almost like stores are very close together and stacked
Experience seasons
All 4 seasons happen in Korea
Always something you can do
A lot of things that Hawaii doesn’t offer as accessibly
Example, “DIY” places
Painting cafe
Pottery cafe
Make your own:
Perfume
Rings
Lipstick
Phone case
Much more
Felt the most safe, I didn't have to worry about the things we often worry about here in America
People don’t steal
No guns
Can see Korea artists WAY more easily
Good if you are a Korea artists fan
Saw like majority of the 4th generation K-pop groups
At the end of the year, there are events where multiple perform in that one event
Nice to just see them all in one go
There could also be free opportunities
Fansigns possible fanmeetings out in the open
Not officially meet face to face, but you can just show up to see them in real life
BLACKPINK fansign at IFC mall
Stray Kids fanmeeting at public park
